What To Look For When Buying A Used Golf Cart

When buying a used golf cart, you want to ask the Seller a few questions, preferably when you're standing in front of the Golf cart he or she is selling. First, you want to ask if all the maintenance was kept up on it. It doesn't take much to care for a golf cart, but it does take some. Second, ask where it was stored. If it was stored outside, that should be a red flag for you. Even if it was stored outside under a cover, be careful! I want to see that the golf cart was stored inside a Garage or other building away from the elements. Also ask the Seller if he or she has had any problems with the golf cart and if any repair were made. If they have, ask to see the receipts. While these are only a few things to look for when buying a used golf cart, they'll go a long way in helping you get a reliable and durable cart.

You also want to know about the batteries. How old are they and what type they are. Do they have a built in charger so you can just plug them in or do you have to have a stand alone golf cart battery charger? These are the sort of things you need to know before buying a golf cart because a bad golf cart cable or bad battery can mean huge headaches for electric golf cart owners.
