Porsche Panamera Review

First Impressions of the Porsche Panamera

A few years ago, Porsche shocked the automobile market by introducing an SUV. However, it turned out to be incredibly popular, causing the car company to take an even bigger step with the four-door Porsche Panamera sedan. Just like the SUV, the Panamera has proved to be a massive success. In fact, it has already become the most popular car in Porsche showrooms. Buyers find it difficult to resist the performance quality of Porsche combined with comfort and the practicality of four seats. At first glance, here's my initial Porsche Panamera review.

Once you have driven the Porsche Panamera for the first time, you will understand why buyers are so crazy about it. Even though it is a sedan, the entire vehicle is 100% Porsche. The front engine holds a turbo-charged 4.8-liter V-engine that is capable of impressive speeds and acceleration times. The car is a front-wheel drive, but customers also have all-wheel-drive and rear-drive options available. The automatic transmission is another shining star, with a 7speed dual clutch smart system. The seating area is simply gorgeous, with an array of luxury equipment and special features.

The Porsche Panamera Is Feature Rich

New Features of the Porsche Panamera

On the Panamera, everything is new. This is the first four-door sedan by Porsche, so they took the step to create new designs for everything. You will need to be ready to pay the premium price though, since the Panamera certainly does not come cheap. However, user Porsche Panamera review boards have reported that customers are extremely happy with this car.

The Shape

The outside design of this car is controversial. Compared to competing models, the shape may look a little odd or even obsolete. However, this car looks a lot better in real life than it does in photos. Porsche designers have tried to mask the size of this car, but there is no mistaking that the Panamera is big vehicle. The S and 4S models are very similar, except for an additional turbo and some different headlights.

Porsche Panamera Performance

The Panamera boasts a 400 hp engine, making it capable of impressive speeds. It takes 4.8 seconds to reach 60mph and 11.5 seconds to reach 100mph. Top speed under ideal conditions is 175mph. Unfortunately, this car does not feel very quick due to its bulky size and heavy weight. The Panamera weighs almost 4000 pounds, and an all-wheel-drive will add even more weight.

Speed will not be a problem if you have the Turbo. The Turbo weighs over 4300 pounds, but it features an amazing acceleration. Porsche has reported an acceleration time from 0mph to 60mph in four seconds, and 0mph to 100mph in only 9 seconds, with a top speed of 188mph. If you have a large budget, the Turbo Panamera is definitely a worthy investment.

More Amazing Surprises From Porsche

Interior Creature Comforts

The inside of this car is simply stunning. It can comfortably fit four large adults and features a beautiful cockpit area. Unlike BMW or Mercedes, Porsche has not yet created a smart onboard computer or uni-controller for their cars. This is why the dashboard is filled with switches and buttons. In some ways, it looks like the cockpit of a Learjet and it feels that way!

Unlike other Porsches, the Panama is equipped with everything you will need. It comes with high level audio and a touchscreen entertainment system. The touchscreen system is the same technology that is used in the Porsche 911 racecar. The surround sound is the highlight of the interior, featuring one of the best audio car audio systems for European cars.

Porsche Panamera Safety Features

The Panamera is filled with all the latest safety procedures and systems. There are front, side, and rear airbags with additional airbags on the knees for the driver and riders. Customers can also buy the option parking camera for the rear. And really, if you're going to spend the money for a Thoroughbred like the this, spring for the backup camera!

I hope you've enjoyed this Porsche Panamera review. At least as much as I've enjoyed writing about this gorgeous car!
