The Mini Fridge Guide & Reviews
When you stop and think about it, the mini fridge has probably done more to change mankind than nearly any other piece of home appliance in production today. Really, think about it for a minute. How many college kids were able to finish their degrees thanks to the food (and liquid refreshments :) ) their mini fridges held?
How many Garage projects were finished that propelled mankind (or at least the Owner of the house) to great heights? How many Offices run smoother because there is one or more mini fridges keeping its Owner comfortable and focused on the jobs at hand?
I could go on, but I think you get the idea. We as humans love our mini fridges! There are mini fridges that look like beer cans, some look futuristic while others look like antique Coca Cola coolers (and of course, a Budweiser mini fridge!). Some are tall and skinny while others are short and fat. Mini fridges truly come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. There are Ge mini fridges, haier mini fridges, magic chef mini fridges and cheap mini fridges. You can get your fridge just about anyway you want! So with that said, here are some of the top models of mini fridges on the market today. Along with a few thoughts about them.
Things To Consider Before Buying A Mini Fridge
Before you rush out and buy a mini fridge, you must first take a few things into consideration. Just because these modern marvels are compact does not mean they will fit just anywhere. You'll want to make sure that the space where you want to put the mini fridge is actually large enough to hold it. Plus, make sure that when the door opens, it does not hit anything. All this may sound like common sense, but you'll be surprised at how many mini fridges are bought that are too big for the space where the Owner wants to put it. Or door cannot be opened all the way because it hits something.
While we're on the subject, another thing that may sound like common sense but that is often overlooked is to determine whether or not there is an electrical outlet to plug the mini fridge into. Even if one is present, make sure that the electrical cord on the fridge will reach. Don't guess, actually measure the darn thing!
And never, ever use an extension cord to power your mini fridge. You see, the longer the extension cord, the more amps you'll lose. And some electrical motors are designed to run at specific amps. Lose just a few amps by using an extension cord, and you could end up damaging the motor or compressor of your new mini fridge!

Mini Fridge Reviews
Here are some of the most popular brands of mini fridges on the market today. If you're looking to buy mini fridge or two, or perhaps you're just looking for mini fridge prices, these reviews should be helpful to you.
Magic Chef Mini Fridges - Magic Chef offers a large line of mini fridges. They offer fridges in sizes from the compact 1.7 cubic foot model all the way up to the monster mini fridge size of 4.4 cubic foot refrigerator with a push button defrost. You'll find colors from the popular stainless steel skins to the traditional white and even black models.
Haier Mini Fridge - This is the mini fridge with a funny name. Even though most people can't pronounce the name correctly, those who have one just call it "Great!" Just like Magic Chef, Haier offers several different models in several different sizes ranging from the little 1.7 cubic foot model and on up from there. They even have a 4.6 cubic foot mini fridge and freezer model that comes in stainless steel. It's very popular in dorms and Offices.
Koolatron USB Mini Fridge - In my opinion, these Koolatron Mini Fridges are the coolest (no pun intended) mini fridges on the market. What makes them cool is that they run of your computers USB. Now having said that, I must also tell you that they are the mini fridges of the mini fridges! They're very small, most will hold a normal can of soda, some up to a 6 pack of soda and a monster that holds 9 cans! It's just the thing for you people (like me) that loves to have some refreshment while your surfing the web. Note: I don't know, but I've been told you can swap out the cans of Cola for your favorite adult beverage...don't know, just sayin' :)
Sanyo Mini Fridges - Sanyo makes all sorts of compact refrigerators. The also make the famous Kegerator beer cooler! (I can hear gasps of astonishment from the guys). Sanyo does have some of the highest rated reviews from satisfied customers of any of the manufacturers that I've seen. Like others, they have everything from the compact models to the larger cabinet height models that are becoming more and more popular in game rooms.
GE Mini Fridge - The very first tiny fridge I remember seeing was made by GE. Although I don't much care for the company, they do put out a large selection of fridges. I happen to have the 3.6 cubic foot model in my Garage right now. It's several years old and I picked it up at a Garage sale at a steal. My buddy has the 3.2 cubic foot GE mini fridge with freezer in his shop and you couldn't get him to give it up for nothing. I have to admit, I do have a little bit on envious going on when I visit him. That little mini fridge freezer comes in very handy to get our "beverages" frosty cold!
Frigidaire MIni Fridge - The final brand on my list are the Frigidaires. I don't have much experience with this brand, although several years ago I camped next to a guy that kept one outside of his RV when he was set up in the park. Even when it was 100 degrees outside, we'd come in from fishing and his little fridge setting outside would keep his drinks just as cool as the refrigerator in my RV did.
I'm betting that right now, you could find at least one use for a mini fridge. That's probably why they're so popular. If you've been putting buying a mini fridge, why? Get with the program and check out the wide range of brands and models on the market today. I'm sure you'll be surprised. I hope this guide and the mini fridge reviews were helpful for you!
